Shelby Farms Park Conservancy Announces Adele Hixon-Day as New Director of Development

Shelby Farms Park Conservancy is pleased to announce the hiring of Adele Hixon-Day as the new Director of Development. Hixon-Day brings more than ten years of fundraising experience to the Conservancy. In her new role, she will plan and implement a comprehensive $2 million annual fundraising program that includes corporate and foundation relations, annual fund, major gifts and capital campaigns.
“Adele joins our team at an exciting time. She will play an integral part in the Park’s continued growth,” says Jen Andrews, Executive Director, Shelby Farms Park Conservancy. “The Park has never been better, but the need for support has never been greater. We’re confident Adele’s experience partnered with her vision will take our development efforts to the next level.”
Specializing in major gifts, capital campaigns, strategic planning and donor development, Hixon-Day raised over $500,000 in major gifts annually as Director of
Development for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing.

Hixon-Day received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration and Policy and CFRE Certification.
She is married to Jeremy Day and together they have four children; Mckayla, Mckenna, Truett, and Madeline.
