New Displays Come to Starry Nights

'New' is the theme for this year at Shelby Farms Park.  First, there were new events. SFPC launched two new events this year, Dog-A-Roo and Splash and Splatter and offered zombie paintball for the first time at Spooky Nights. Then we added more programs targeting all age groups and interests, launching our Field Trips this Spring, and K9 Academy , Fall Break Camp and Wise Trek this Fall. SFPC Visitor Center Moves!

Phase 1 of the Heart of the Park Project is Complete! Green means Go! And go we did. We've accomplished a lot in the 5 months since we started construction, as you can see from the list above, if not on the ground.  This work has been exciting to watch, just check out the progress from the aerial photographs below. A Sustainable Turn for Our Trails

Trail improvements will be quick to come to the Park because of the convergence of two exciting developments at Shelby Farms Park. SFPC Ranger Drew Balton is now certified in Trail Mainten ance, after taking a four-day long, intensive training course at Meeman Shelby Forest.
