Go Ape Treetop Adventure

Go Ape Treetop Adventure

Park visitors (ages 10+) can now zip, swing and climb through the trees!  Go Ape is a great outdoor adventure for families, friends and groups. The course is set within a gorgeous pine forest and borders Pine Lake, one of the Shelby Farm Park's 20+ bodies of water.  Your group will be equipped with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners, given a 30 minute safety training, and then let loose into the forest canopy, free to swing through the trees.

Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forest. The course is made up of six individual sections, each section taking you higher into the forest canopy and finishing with a zip line more exciting than the previous one! There are over 40 crossings/obstacles which include, rope ladders, net bridges, Tarzan swings and 6 zip lines.

For your planning purposes, the course takes about 2-3 hours to complete but there is no limit on the time it takes your group to complete the course, as long as all the gorillas are off the course before the sun sets.

Closed for the season. Reopens March 2017.
