Why did you get involved with Shelby Farms Park? I got involved for two reasons: because of a deep desire to help protect and preserve the park and the enjoyment I get when at the Park with my dogs.

What's your favorite place in the Park? My favorite place is the dog park area and walking with my dogs there. I am out there almost daily and never fail to appreciate the open spaces available to us--right in the middle of the city!

Other than Shelby Farms Park, what's your favorite place in Memphis? My next favorite place is the Memphis Zoo. I love to take my grandchildren there! It is a fabulous place to go.

Shelby Farms Park provides a haven from the hectic pace we all seem to live. The serenity and peace that can be found there is unparalleled! The various areas of the park offer rest, relaxation, exercise opportunities and a closeness with nature that is unique in its size and scope. I'm excited about allowing the master plan to gradually allow the Park to evolve to its fullest potential.
