The Stables at Shelby Farms Park

The Stables at Shelby Farms are open every day but Wednesday, pending weather and trail conditions. The Stables open at 9:00am.

Trail Rides and Pony Rides

Trail rides last for one hour and wind through the beautiful wooded trails behind Beaver Lake. Trail rides are led by an experienced guide. Hand-led pony rides are availble for riders under 8 years old.

Trail Ride: $25 per person

Pony Ride: $5 per person

Trail rides depart at the following times: 9:45am, 11:00am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm, 2:45pm, 4:00pm.

Pony rides are available from 10am-3:30pm.

Arrive 15-20 minutes before your rides is scheduled to depart. Reservations can be made but must be paid if full at the time the reservation is made. Otherwise, trail rides are first come, first served.

Liability Waiver and Age Restriction

A liability waiver must be signed by a parent of legal guardian for riders under 18 years of age. Riders must be 8 years old to take part in a trail ride.

***You can also bring your own horse to the Park!  You'll need to present your original negative Coggins and drivers license and pick up a trailer permit at the Visitor Center Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm. Permits are $25 for the year (per trailer, not per horse). Call (901) 767-PARK to make an appointment.
